Boil-water advisory for Atlas housing community Published Aug. 17, 2016 By Staff Reports Effective Wednesday, Aug. 17, the 90th Civil Engineering Squadron utilities shop will perform a scheduled water main repair on Bannock Road in the Atlas housing community on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming. As a precaution, bioenvironmental engineering advises that all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled before consumption in the effected area. Bringing water to a rolling boil for one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used for consumption. Water in the distribution system is safe for bathing and other sanitary uses. This precautionary boil-water advisory will remain in effect until the 90th Medical Group’s bioenvironmental engineering unit has conducted all bacteriological monitoring and bacteriological results confirm that the water is safe for consumption. Public Affairs will notify base residents once the boil-water advisory is no longer in effect. For questions, comments or concerns please contact the Public Affairs office at 307-773-3381.
