‘Spartans’ welcome new commander

CAMP GUERNSEY, Wyo. --

Maj. Kristen Cangelosi took command of the 620th Ground Combat Training Squadron during a change-of-command ceremony here July 15, 2016.

Maj. Mike Piernick, the outgoing commander, will continue his Air Force career at the Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.

The change-of-command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.
