WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- Airmen from the 37th Helicopter Squadron showed up in style—in a UH-1N Bell Helicopter, at the Freedom Elementary School April 21. April is the Month of the Military Child and the aircrew’s mission was to bring joy to the dozens of children. The students watched on as the crew landed the helicopter at the school in a grass field. Once landed, the crew showed the students the interior of the Huey and answered any questions they had. The base and school faculty worked together to show the military children at the school how important they are to the military members working in the Cheyenne area. “A lot of the kids were full of excitement and you could see it on their face as the Huey flew by,” Chad Delbridge, Freedom Elementary School principal. “We wanted to show them that they are special.”
