The F.E. Warren Lead 5/6 organization hosted a Developmental Special Duty job fair March 16. Airmen were invited out to the Fall Hall Community Center to learn about the different career opportunities available in the Air Force.

Representatives who had experiences in eight different DSD careers set up booths to speak with Airmen on what their career did and the qualifications needed to be picked up.

There were speakers who had information on the more known DSDs – such as becoming a first sergeant, military training instructor, military training leader, professional military instructor or a technical school instructor – as well as some of the lesser known duties – like career assistance advisor, US Air Force Academy instructor NCO, and Airman and Family Readiness NCO.

“Special duties are a way of showing you that there is more to the Air Force than just your career field,” said Chief Master Sgt. John Facemire, 90th Mission Support Group superintendent, during the opening remarks of the job fair. “If you are interested in doing something new, ask the questions and learn what you can do to make yourself marketable for that career.”

For more information on any of these career opportunities, contact your first sergeant.
