WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- Appointment of summary court officer for deceased Effective May 13, 2nd Lt. Katherine E. Moorkamp, 90th Force Support Squadron, is detailed as Summary Court Officer to secure and make proper disposition of the personal effects of Tech. Sgt. Theresa T. Pedro-Chatman, deceased. Pool re-opens The Warren Aquatics Center will be re-opening it's doors Memorial Day weekend, May 23 through 26, and remain open Tuesdays through Saturdays until Labor Day weekend. The hours of operation will be 11 a.m. through 7 p.m. each day. The center will have specific hours for adult lap swim and open swim: Adult lap Swim · Tuesdays through Fridays - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Open Swim · Tuesdays through Fridays - 1 to 5 p.m. · Saturdays - 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Agent of Change Program Agent of Change is an online program providing participants the chance to practice skills for preventing sexual violence in a virtual setting. Sexual violence is a problem throughout our society, and the military is no exception. This initiative is another opportunity to make military members aware that each of us contributes to a culture of dignity and respect, where sexual violence isn't accepted. DoD evaluated "Agent of Change" and highly recommends it. FEW AFB is the pilot base for AFGSC as well as the Air Force. SGLI monthly premium change Effective July 1, the Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance program will adjust the SGLI monthly premium rate from 6.5 cents to 7 cents per $1,000 of insurance. This means, for example, a premium increase from $26 to $28 a month for servicemembers with the maximum $400,000 of life insurance. All servicemembers will continue to pay an additional $1 for Traumatic Injury Protection coverage. Barbecue and pie-in-the-face contest The 90th Missile Wing hosts a BBQ and a pie-in-the-face contest May 27 in the Fall Hall Community Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ten members of leadership will receive a pie in the face, based on a cash vote - votes are $1 a vote or 6 votes for $5. The top eight highest voted and the lowest two voted will be chosen and an auction will be held during the barbecue to determine who gets to pie winners. The barbecue will serve burgers and bratwurst, along with a drink and a drink, for $5. For more information, to place votes and to pre-order food contact your unit POC. Youth sports Tennis Lessons registration · The Youth Center hosts tennis lessons beginning June 9 for children ages 6 through 18. The lessons will be held on 6 days throughout June - June 9, 11, 13, 16, 18 and 20 - from 9:45 to 11 a.m. each day. The lessons will cost $30 and include all six lessons, snacks, use of necessary equipment, a polo shirt and ice cream on the last day. The lessons will be held at the tennis courts across the street from the 20th Air Force. All participants must be pre-registered by May 27. Introduction to Golf Program registration · The Youth Center hosts a 4-day Introduction to Golf Program held at the Warren Golf Course beginning June 10 for children ages 6 through 18. The lessons will be held June 10, 12, 17 and 19. The lessons will be split into two age groups, Ages 6 through 8 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and ages 9 and above from noon to 1:30 p.m. The lessons will cost $25 and include all four lessons, snacks, use of necessary equipment and a golf polo shirt. Motorcycle mentorship ride The 90th Missile Wing Safety Office hosts a motorcycle mentorship ride May 22. The ride will meet up with safety at 8 a.m. in the Trail's End Club parking lot and the safety briefing and bike inspection will begin at 8:15 a.m. The ride will leave at 8:45 a.m. for a 155 mile trip, returning to base around 3 p.m. The ride will fulfill the mandatory 5-year refresher training per AFI91-207. Wing Dining Out tickets The 90th Missile Wing's 2014 Wing Dining Out will be held June 13 at the Little America Hotel in Cheyenne and tickets are now on sale. The dining out will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m. and dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Dress code is mess dress or semi-formal for military members and formal or cocktail attire for civilians. Airmen on PRP should call 773-3581 during normal duty hours and on training days. Golf tournament registration The Air Force Enlisted Village is hosting a Golf tournament May 22 on the Golf Course. Only 18 four person teams will be allowed to participate. The event will cost $50 per person which includes 18 holes of golf, riding cart, lunch and various prizes.
