The class is limited to the first 20 children to sign up. This is an instructional program designed to teach young kids the fundamentals of basketball. The cost is $35 per child and includes all practices and scrimmages, t-shirt for parent and child youth basketball, and snacks after each session. New Years Eve events · The Trail's End Club will host a New Years Eve party Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Prices are currently $25 for club members and $30 for non-club members. For more information, contact the club at 773-3048. · The Warren Lanes Bowling Center will host a New Years Eve party Dec. 31 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Prices are: $15 for 12 and under and $25 for 13 and older. All you can eat pizza costs an extra $7.50. Space is limited to a maximum of 60 people. Gym Safety Due to the high traffic in the Freedom Hall Fitness Center and the retraction of the rule requiring patrons to hand-carry their shoes into the gym, people have encountered unsafe floor conditions. The fitness staff sweeps and mops regularly, but it is difficult to keep up with the dust, dirt, snow and salt that is brought in with the weather. The fitness center staff asks gym patrons to keep this in mind when coming into the gym. CFC The Combined Federal Campaign is still going strong. The campaign continues until Jan. 15. Contact your organization's CFC representative to donate. Sno Fest Next year's Sno Fest will be Jan. 24 thru Jan. 26 at the Keystone Resort, Keystone, Colo. Sno Fest is a military appreciation weekend with themed parties, discounted lift tickets and snow activities. There will be a cardboard derby and snowshoe hiking as well. A marketing company has established two fraudulent numbers that differ from the two official VA call center numbers by one digit. If the fraudulent number is dialed by mistake, the answering party will offer a gift card and try to obtain personal and financial information, including credit card information, from the caller. The answering party may even transfer the caller to the VA after the caller's information is obtained. Note that VA will never ask you for a credit card number or banking information over the phone. Donate decorations to dorms To help dorm residents feel the holiday spirit, dorm management is collecting holiday decorations for the dorms. Donate used or unwanted decorations -- such as artificial trees, lights, tree ornaments wreaths, and greenery -- to the Dorm Manager's office, Bldg. 230 on the corner of Randall Ave. and Vesle Dr. Dorm manager needed A dorm manager and furniture management NCOIC position will become available mid-January. Dorm management needs a staff sergeant to fill the position.
