News Release: Library Closure

FRANCIS E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- F. E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, WYOMING -- The library at F. E. Warren will permanently close Oct. 30 due to fiscal challenges. All library materials must be returned to the base library by Oct. 17. As of Oct. 8, new library hours will be Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. until its closer on Oct. 30.

Air Force leadership recognizes the significance of libraries to the military members and their families and have made arrangements with the Laramie County Library located five minutes from the base to meet the needs of the base population.

This arrangement will be an excellent opportunity to capitalize on a community partnership while promoting Department of Defense online databases. F.E. Warren's leadership has developed a plan to use existing library materials and equipment in various places on base, such as internet services at the base community center/education center.
