News Briefs: Feb. 3 through 9 Published Feb. 2, 2015 By Airman 1st Class Malcolm Mayfield 90th Missile Wing Public Affairs F.E.WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo -- Tax Assistance Center The location of the Tax Assistance Center is at the Laramie County Community College this year. The center provides free tax services for F.E. Warren personnel, retirees and their dependents. Tax services will continue until April 10. These services are available Thursdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and Fridays from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. This year the tax center will accept drop-off returns and walk-in service. Outdoor Recreation trips Swim with the Fishes · Outdoor Rec. hosts a swim with the fishes trip to the Denver Aquarium Feb. 7. The trip costs $35 and includes transportation and the dive. Trip is limited to 14 people. Estes Park horseback ride · Outdoor Recreation hosts a trip to Estes Park to go horseback riding through the Rocky Mountain National Park Feb. 21. The trip costs $30 and includes transportation, trail ride and gear. Ski and snowboard trips · Outdoor Rec. hosts a number of ski and snowboarding trips throughout the coming months. Expanded FSS hours Outdoor Rec. and the Information, Tickets and Travel office now have extended hours. Outdoor Rec. will now be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and the ITT office will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The ITT office is located inside Outdoor Rec. Volunteer Opportunity The Ice Festival is looking for volunteers for their event on Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., possible jobs include: crowd control, helping kids onto their sled and helping people in and out of carriages. For more information or to RSVP for any of these seminars, call 773-2998. Comptroller's hours of operation The 90th Comptroller Squadron Customer Service hours have changed. The new hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Customer Service is closed for training on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from noon until 3:30 p.m. Mass in processing is held TuesdayS at 9 a.m. and mass out processing is held Wednesdays at 9 a.m. The 90th CPTS is located at Building 1284. Sensory-friendly films The Exceptional Family Member Program and the base theater offer sensory-friendly films throughout the school year on the third Saturday of each month as a matinee at 1 p.m. These matinees will be shown in a "sensory-friendly" manner, with the lights turned slightly up and the sound turned slightly down. Previews will not be shown and kids are welcome to move around as needed. The theater will offer their regular concessions, but families are welcome to bring allergy-friendly snacks. Films shown will be either G or PG rated. Admission for newer films will be $2.50 for adults and $2 for kids. Older films that may be shown will have an admission fee of $1 per person. MiCare mandatory It is mandatory for all active-duty members to enroll in MiCare Secure Messaging, including those on the Personnel Reliability Program. MiCare is an online service offering electronic communication between patients and their healthcare team.
