The 90th Space Wing along with the company grade officers council and the airmen and family readiness center are currently sponsoring the startup of an organization called Operation Warren Cares.

This operation is designed so active-duty members deploying from the 90th SW or Twentieth Air Force may depart with the peace of mind that their families will be taken care of.

There are currently many volunteers ready and willing to help families with anything around the house such as car trouble, shoveling snow, setting up electronics and regular home repair.

The idea is to absorb the work and chores deploying members leave behind and ease the burden on the family. Many understand the stress deployments may cause and the anxiety experienced by the family left here. The goal is to reduce strain and let the family go about their usual routine as much as possible.

Operation Warren Cares is currently accepting volunteers and tracking families who are currently separated by a deployment.

The organization has people available for emergencies or to schedule chores. Families will receive numbers to call in case of an emergency or to set up scheduled maintenance.

Operation Warren Cares will do its best to provide whatever is needed, even a baby sitter.

If service members are looking for a volunteer opportunity and have time to offer to the families separated by deployment at Warren, they may choose to be an Operation Warren Cares volunteer.
