Fall Hall was the place to be for boxing enthusiasts Saturday.

Members from the Cheyenne boxing club and the Warren boxing team participated in three-round bouts against and within the clubs.

The beginning bouts were lightweight boxers sparring for experience. Some participants of the exhibition are Warren Airmen.

Airman 1st Class Adam Stewart, 90th Medical Operations Squadron, boxed in the super heavyweight class against Airman 1st Class Shane Hilliard, 90th Missile Maintenance Squadron, in his first boxing match in a ring and was named the winner be decision.

"I've been boxing for about a year," said Airman Stewart. "I do it for the experience, and it gets me away from my desk job."

Airman Stewart devotes 12 hours a week to boxing training and said that physically preparing for a match is hard work.

"The work is hard if you make it hard," Airman Stewart said. "The results are all up to you."

Airman Stewart also mentally prepared himself before the bout, citing that it's important to be both physically and mentally prepared for boxing matches.

"I took a day off before the bout, and I've been listening to music while I condition," he said. "I've been playing out all the scenarios in my head to be ready for anything in the ring."

Airman Stewart's and the other boxing exhibition participants' preparations and hard work paid off for them.
