Warren loses a hard worker, mother Published July 6, 2007 By Airman Alex Martinez 90th Space Wing Public Affairs F. E. Warren AFB, Wyo. -- A Warren Airman passed away June 10 in her residence. The reason is unknown at this time. Staff Sgt. Tina Hunter, 90th Medical Operations Squadron, was pronounced dead at the scene June 12. Estimates say she had been deceased for one to two days. Sergeant Hunter leaves behind a four-year-old son who is now under the care of her brother. Sergeant Hunter's viewing was held June 15 and her memorial service was June 23. Sergeant Hunter, 25, worked in the public health clinic at the base medical clinic. Her co-workers described her as a very pleasant person who was fun to be around and someone who will be deeply missed. "She was a hard worker who took pride in what she did," said Airman 1st Class Jennifer Finch, 90th MDOS. "She was always full of life and made us laugh. There was always a smile on her face." Airman Finch described the loss as being a pretty big hit to the office. "Some of us in here have lost family members and friends but have never had to deal with the loss of a co-worker," Airman Finch said. Sergeant Hunter joined the Air Force in 2000. She arrived at Warren in November 2006. "She was very friendly and talked a lot," said Master Sgt. Scott Archer, 90th MDOS. "It was great because she was kind of goofy at times and she was real easy to get along with." Her office agrees that it is important to remember the time she was alive and it's important to move on and regain a sense of normalcy. "You want to remember the good times," Sergeant Archer said. "You also want to be able to move on. She wouldn't want the office to feel bad." In honor of Sergeant Hunter, the public health office placed a black ribbon on the seat at her workspace to remember their fallen co-worker and friend. "Staff Sergeant Tina Hunter was with us only a short time," said Col. Brian Hayes, 90th Medical Group commander. "We at the 90th Medical Group are deeply saddened by her unexpected death. At the same time, we are grateful for the opportunity to have served with her and were blessed by her presence. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tina's family, friends and co-workers as they struggle to come to terms with this loss."
