Community center to open second floor Published Sept. 21, 2007 By Airman 1st Class Daryl Knee 90th Space Wing Public Affairs F.E. Warren AFB, Wyo. -- The Fall Hall Community Center here is scheduled to open its second floor for public use later this month. The readiness section for the 90th Force Support Squadron previously housed in the second floor moved to a new location June 30, leaving four rooms vacant. The rooms upstairs are equipped with tools to facilitate a music center, some classrooms, parties and cooking classes. However, much work is still needed to prepare the rooms for use. The community center acts as the stop-off point for Airmen and teenagers to relax, party or participate in programs dedicated to the community. The introduction of the new floor will open new opportunities to enhance the morale of Airmen and their families. "The whole concept was to increase the community area, have more space to house programs and use it in a more effective way," said Tara Morton, programs manager. "The space we have now has limited our ability to perform these functions." Once the rooms are in working order, Mrs. Morton expects participation to increase. "It's a great place not just for families but for Airmen," Mrs. Morton said. "It's kind of like home but not the dorm room." "I've seen this facility change from a building with many functions into a community," she added.
