Airman 1st Class Chris Gargus, Rising 6 airman president, lands at the bottom of a dunk tank during the Block Party June 20. Airman Gargus volunteered for a position in the tank for a chance to taunt passerbys.
Master Sgt. Todd Preston, 30th Airlift Squadron first sergeant, kicks water toward children during the Block Party June 20. The children, instead of throwing tennis balls, ran to and from the switch to dunk Sergeant Preston. The Rising 6 organization sponsored the event. Along with the dunk tank, other attractions included a mobile petting zoo, free hamburgers and hotdogs, a vehicle prepared for demolition and musical entertainment. The event took place behind dorms 223 through 228.
The vehicle lay in shambles during the car smash event. After almost two hours of constant beating by various weapons, the vehicle had very little left to be destroyed. People partaking of this event had protective equipment to include a hard hat, gloves and safety glasses.

An aluminum bat snapped in half when hit against a vehicle during the Block Party June 20. The bat was one of four weapons people could choose from to destroy the car: sledgehammer, pickaxe, crowbar and the bat.
