Vouchers for base beautification process available Published July 28, 2008 By Airman 1st Class Daryl Knee 90th Missile Wing Public Affairs F.E. Warren AFB, Wyo. -- As part of a base beautification process, the wing housing office has flower vouchers available until Aug. 15. The $50 vouchers can be used to purchase living plants at a local greenery. "These vouchers are here to help promote healthy yard care," said Rocky Golden, 90th Civil Engineer Squadron. "It takes time to build up the base image, but with this program, hopefully occupants of the military housing will take it upon themselves to make their yard look the best it can." Each family living in a military housing unit may pick up a voucher at Bldg. 306, Mr. Golden said. Interested parties must bring a picture I.D. Once obtained, an occupant has 30 days to use the money, or the voucher will not work, he said. Also, only certain items are purchasable. Along with the housing office, the local greenery has screened the flowers and plants not conducive to Wyoming weather and will not sell them to occupants using the voucher. "Take pride in the overall appearance of military family housing," Mr. Golden said. "Take advantage of the base's effort to provide a means to better their corner of F.E. Warren."
