WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- The Web-based Defense Personal Property System is a one-stop source for managing personal property moves. The system will provide DoD families with 24-hour access to personal property shipment information throughout the moving process. Key Improvements - shipments awarded based on best value, not low cost - full replacement value is the standard for lost or damaged items - electronic claims filing through DPS available all day, every day - direct communication between DoD families and servicing transportation service provider - instructive, on-demand, Web-based personal property counseling Increased service member involvement with the process - pack and pickup dates are negotiated between the member and TSP - service member requests delivery directly with the TSP - service member and TSP can settle small claims using "quick claim" option - base-level traffic management offices continue to be initial customer interface Best value and best service - TSPs are ranked by their Best Value Score - the BVS is the determining factor in TSP share of future DoD business - the BVS is comprised of 3 elements: -- 50 percent customer satisfaction survey results -- 20 percent claims score based on TSP timeliness and cost of claim -- 30 percent rate score for filing a competitive rate - BVS is calculated six times per year on a rolling one year basis - customer survey has an impact on the BVS for one year For more information call 773-3824.
