Warren Spouses Club announces 2009 scholarships for students Published Jan. 27, 2009 By Deb Mercer Warren Spouses Club F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- The Warren Spouses' Club Scholarship provides for the possible awarding of several scholarships to qualified and selected applicants. These scholarships are awarded to the selected students on the basis of academic excellence and involvement in the school, community and work place. Eligibility An applicant must be either a spouse or a military dependent of a military sponsor. The military sponsor of the applicant must be of active-duty, guard, reserve, retired or deceased status from a United States branch of service. The sponsor must also be assigned to Warren or the Wyoming Air National Guard in active-duty status or a resident in Laramie County. The applicant must be a candidate for graduation from an accredited high school or legitimate home school program during the current year, or a student at an accredited vocational, technical school, college, university or graduate school. High school seniors may apply for the First Command, the WSC Scholarship or both. If the applicant is a recipient of both scholarships, then the applicant may only accept one of them. The award may only be used at an accredited community college, vocational, technical institution, four-year college or university. Applications can be obtained from http://www.warrenspouseslub.com. Applications must be postmarked no later than Feb. 20, 2009. Incomplete, inaccurate or illegible applications will not be considered for any of the above scholarships.
