The 90th Medical Group under-30 basketball team beat the 90th Tactical Response Force team 81-39 Tuesday at the Freedom Hall Fitness center.

The lead scorer for the 90th MDG was Tech. Sgt. David Rivera, 90th Medical Support Squadron, with 32 points. Staff Sgt. Dane Sauer, 90th Medical Operations Squadron, followed with 20 points.

Master Sgt. Joe Collins, 90th Ground Combat Training Squadron, led the 90th TRF with 10 points.

Strong offense and three-point shooting is what won this game for the 90th MDG.
TRF was outscored 19-39 in the first half. MDG's point guard, Sergeant Rivera, led the half with 22 points, 15 of those points coming from behind the arch.

Both teams were short manned, but it could be seen on the TRF players' faces late in the second half they were tiring.

MDG had several steals and fast break points that began to suck the energy out of the TRF team.

A 19-4 run with about eight minutes left in the game gave the MDG a commanding, 43-point lead.
