A member of the 90th Contracting Squadron performed in a Cheyenne play recently.

Diana Scheer took part in the local production of "The Foreigner" at the Cheyenne Little Theater.

The play is a comedy about the shy, awkward British gentleman Charlie who is unwillingly left at a Georgia fishing lodge by his friend from the British Army who is visiting to help the U.S. Army with a demolition exercise.

During his stay at the lodge, Charlie pretends to not understand or speak English. His deception and presence at the lodge affects the lives of everyone present during his stay, and he is able to help foil a sinister plot.

Ms. Scheer plays the 70 year-old widow, Betty Meeks, who runs the lodge.

"The play is hilariously funny and well worth the time and money spent enjoying it," Ms. Scheer said.

"Stellar performance," said Doug Reed, 90th CONS. "It was so funny, I could hardly catch my breath."

Ms. Scheer has been a member of Warren since December of 1985 and recently a member of the 90th Civil Engineering Squadron where she was worked in the site maintenance control office, production control. She has been a member of the base contracting squadron since August of last year.

"The Cheyenne Little Theater Players actors are some of the most experienced and enjoyable [actors,] and [they] really bring the story to life," Ms. Scheer said.

"Not only are we proud to have Diana as a new member of our squadron, but it's also nice to have a local celebrity in our presence as well," said Airman 1st Class Jared Dwyer, 90th CONS. "Stop by the ... squadron sometime and meet her in-person if you didn't get the chance during production of 'The Foreigner.'

"I'll let you in on a little secret," he said, "she only charges a nominal fee for one of her autographs."
