Mighty Ninety warriors end fiscal year 2010 in exceptional manner Published Oct. 8, 2010 By Staff Reports F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo. -- The outstanding teamwork of F. E. Warren Air Force Base's 90th Contracting, Civil Engineer and Comptroller Squadrons, culminated in concluding the end of fiscal 2010 in an exceptional manner. Trudy Fralick, Janet Trantham, Sharon Skinner, Alisha Riles, 1st Lt. Celina DuVall, Airman 1st Class Tyler Freeney, Carroll Vye, Brandy Jiron, Sandy Rutherford, Jack Patton, Authur Makekau, Rod Trees, Mike Marlin, Bill Fussinger, Ted Durante and Gary Dutremble were the Contracting, Civil Engineer, and Comptroller workhorses who captured nearly seven-million dollars for 15 projects across the base and out in the missile field. Additionally, they enabled Air Force Global Strike Command to set aside nearly two-and-a-half million dollars for energy efficiency projects. "I've watched many of these and this end of year close out looked like the smoothest to date, said Col. Greg Tims, 90th Missile Wing commander. "The teams Lt. Col. Chris Nutting, 90th Comptroller Squadron commander, and Maj. Dave Wilson, 90th Contracting Squadron commander, lead are simply the best!" In a major coup for the base, the 90th CONS, CES and CPTS teamed up to wrestle nearly two million dollars in funding for three projects. Just a few of the projects funded include the renovation of one of the buildings in the munitions storage area, pavement repairs across the base, quality of life repairs at the Temporary Lodging Facility, Building 241. This year's planned exterior facility painting, renovation of the 90th Missile Wing headquarters building and Building 246 for the Office of Special Investigations, and audio and visual equipment for the base chaplain. Without a doubt, the steadfast planning, long nights, intense coordination and dedication by the 90th CONS, CES and CPTS team, then and throughout the year, enabled the 90th CONS to quickly execute all contracts within hours as opposed to days in previous end-of-year close-outs. Their commitment to the Air Force's core values enabled the 90th MW to continuously provide preeminent combat capability across the spectrum of conflict, anytime and anywhere.
