Warren Lanes host youth leagues Published Oct. 14, 2010 By Staff Reports F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo. -- Youth at Air Force Global Strike Command's F. E. Warren AFB Wyo., ages three to 21, are invited to participate in the United States Bowling Congress Youth Bowling league held at Warren Lanes Bowling Center every Saturday morning. The league started Sept. 11 with 30 participants; however, according to Jack and Agnes Colvin, 90th Logistics Readiness Squadron and league directors, kids are welcome to join at any time. Leagues are divided into three age groups. The Junior-Majors, ages 12 to 21, bowl starting at 8:30 a.m.; the Bantam-Preps, ages seven to 11, and the Pee Wees, ages three to six, bowl starting at 11 a.m. Certified coaches help the children learn bowling courtesy and provide instruction. "Our goal is to have a great time, meet new friends and improve our bowling skills," says Mr. Colvin. All youth are presented a scholarship at the end of the season, providing they have bowled 66 percent of the season during the league. There are also special recognition awards for those with end of year high average, most improved high game and high series.
