The 2010 Cheyenne area Combined Federal Campaign begins at Warren on Monday, and will end Nov. 22. Warren officially kicks off this year's CFC campaign with a Fun Run/Walk on Friday, starting at 3 p.m. The event will begin and end at the Trail's End Club.

The mission of the CFC is to support and to promote philanthropy through a voluntary program that is employee-focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all Federal Employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

The CFC is the only authorized solicitation of Federal employees in their workplaces on behalf of approved charitable organizations.

Warren's goal is $116,000 this year, a $6,000 increase from 2009's goal. Last year, Air Force Global Strike Command's Airmen at F. E. Warren raised $153,458.60 in CFC donations, which accounted for 63 percent of all CFC donations in Cheyenne.

Col. Greg Tims, 90th Missile Wing commander, said, "If there is one thing Warren Airmen do with pride and excellence, it's working alongside our community members. I have no doubt this base will execute this campaign just as it does with our daily mission - with character, focus and heart." Tech. Sgt. AnnaMarie Forgit, 90th Missile Operations Squadron, and Staff Sgt. Amber Lane, 90th Communications Squadron, are Warren's points of contact. Squadron and flight-level CFC representatives are the backbone of making this year's CFC a resounding success.

"Our ability to perform our mission is directly related to how well we take care of our people, especially their families. Taking care of our mission and taking care of our people and communities are one in the same. The CFC grants us the opportunity to make a difference," add Col. Tims.
