WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, WYO -- The deputy commander of U.S. Strategic Command, 8th Air Force vice commander and the Air Force Global Strike Command's director of staff visited here this week for ICBM familiarization tours. The purpose of this tour was to familiarize Vice Adm. Cecil Haney, Col. Robert Gass, and Mr. Jeffery Beene with the inner workings of F. E. Warren Air Force Base's nuclear mission. While here on their respective tours, Admiral Haney, Colonel Gass and Mr. Beene met with Maj. Gen. C. Donald Alston, 20th Air Force commander; 90th Missile Wing leadership and 90th Operations Group, visited Missile Alert Facilities, attended a briefing by members of the 90th Operations Support Squadron Codes Flight and then viewed a 90th Security Forces Group Task Response Force demonstration at Uniform-01, the training launch facility here. After the admiral's tour of Warren, he returned went to Colorado Springs, Colo., while Colonel Gass and Mr. Beene returned to Barksdale Air Force Base,La.
