Navy SEALs visit 90th Missile Wing Published March 1, 2012 By Staff Sgt. Torri Savarese 90th Missile Wing, Public Affairs F. E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- Members of Navy Sea, Air and Land teams and Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen spent the day sharing their experiences with Mighty Ninety Airmen Feb. 28. The visit was organized by the Cheyenne Military Affairs Committee to coincide with the release of the movie, "Act of Valor," highlighting Navy SEAL missions and members. The MAC hosted a special viewing of the film at the Capitol Theater in downtown Cheyenne, Feb. 28. "Our focus this year is troop support and education," said Bruce Brady, MAC Chairman. "It's important for us to keep the community engaged, and to educate them on the joint service environment; it's all one fight." SEAL team members echoed Brady's sentiments in their interaction with Warren Airmen. "Through my career I've learned that it takes everybody," said Senior Chief Petty Officer Dave Preedy, Special Operations Command. "We couldn't begin to do our job without airpower. If you're not controlling the air, you're not winning." He thanked each Airman for their service and reaffirmed the importance of joint operations and cooperation between the services. "We're looking forward to full engagement with all services," said Brady. "This town is ready to keep engaged with our military community, and we've already received so much support." Brady explained that local businesses, the Chamber of Commerce and F. E. Warren have all helped the MAC in educating the Cheyenne community on military operations and ways of life. "Having the opportunity to share experiences with members of other services brings about a camaraderie that many times can only be found in a deployed environment," said Chief Master Sgt. Marty Anderson, 90th Missile Wing command chief. "What's important to take away from this is that no matter where you go, or what you're doing, all of us depend on each other to accomplish the national defense mission. Occasions like this help us all to appreciate each unique mission, and what everyone brings to the fight."
