The Army Veterinary Clinic is set to have its roof replaced soon. Due to safety concerns for clients and their pets, the clinic is planning to be closed while the roof is being worked on.

Currently, work is expected to begin June 4 and continue through June 25. These dates are estimates, as the weather can cause delays or the need for the project to be rescheduled. Every effort to inform customers of changes to this project will be made.

During the repairs, the clinic intends to be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, and from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for calls, registrations and over-the-counter sales. Vaccination appointments will be made from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and possibly Thursday if there is a definite need during the closure to further assist clientele in meeting their pets' needs. The availability of such appointments may be limited; therefore, in order to minimize the possible impact to one's pets, it is strongly encouraged to review their records to see if they are due for any vaccinations, tests, prescription refills or examinations, and plan in advance.

The clinic staff would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused by these necessary repairs to the facility.

Services are provided for pets of active duty servicemembers and retirees who have medical privileges to military medical facilities. National Guard and Reservists on active-duty status for more than 30 days are also authorized services with a copy of their orders. The back of the active duty ID card must say "Medical" above the picture. The back of the dependent or retiree ID card must say "Medical Direct: Yes."
