Costumed children, eager to get candy yet reluctant to approach the adults in scary costumes doling it out, gathered Oct. 27 for this year's Trunk or Treat

The 90th Security Forces Group Top 4 hosted the second Trunk-or-Treat, their annual Halloween celebration, during which different units within the 90th SFG decorate vehicles and hand out candy to children of Security Forces families, in Bldg. 1151.

"We come together as a group to put together a fun event for fellow defenders and their families," said Tech. Sgt. Sarah Donis, 90th Security Forces Squadron. Donis was in charge of coordinating the event.

In addition to the decorated vehicles, defenders set up three haunted houses, served food to guests and set up several games and crafts for the children in attendance.

Airman 1st Class Marceda Wright, 90th Missile Security Forces Squadron, handed out candy to children during the event while dressed as Superwoman.

"I love Halloween, I love superheroes and I love kids," she said. "I love being creative, so if it means I get to buy crafts supplies to decorate a vehicle, I'm glad to."

"It's been a great turnout," Donis said. "We have more kids, families and vehicles than we had last year."

Col. Tom Wilcox, 90th SFG commander, spoke to those in attendance near the end of the event.

"Defenders and family' is what this is about," Wilcox said.
