Keystone to host 23rd Annual SnoFest! Published Jan. 25, 2013 By Staff Reports 90th Missile Wing Public Affairs F. E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- Winter sports enthusiasts from across the Front Range will descend on Keystone Ski Resort for the 23rd annual SnoFest from Jan. 25 to 27. The Front Range Force Support Organizations have joined forces again to offer a variety of activities at affordable prices during the spectacular weekend for all Department of Defense personnel in appreciation of the hard work, dedication and sacrifices made by military, civilian DoD employees and their families. In addition to discounted lodging and lift tickets for SnoFest!, there is a Front Range Traveling Commander's Cup Trophy up for grabs. Competing times are based on the best two ski and snowboard racers' times on Keystone's National Standard Race course Jan. 25 from each installation's registered SnoFest! competitors. In addition to world-class skiing and snowboarding, the resort offers non-skier activities such as tubing, ice skating, food sampling and more. Event-goers can also stop by the hospitality tent, hosted by the Front Range Force Support Organizations, for refreshments and information about each day's events. The weekend's events are highlighted by the cardboard derby races, a SnoFest! fan favorite, held on Jan. 26. There are no scheduled events for Jan. 27, which will be a family day at the resort. The Warren Outdoor Recreation office, in conjunction with Air Force Global Strike Command, is offering bus transportation to SnoFest! for $35 on Jan. 26. Contact ODR at 773-2988 to sign up. Complete details on SnoFest including lodging, race registration, cardboard derby races, family parties and a schedule of events are available at www.mysnofest.com.
