Securely talk to doctor from home Published Dec. 22, 2017 By Airman 1st Class Abbigayle Wagner 90th Missile Wing Public Affairs F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- There is no time like the present to sign-up for the TRICARE Online Patient Portal. This program allows TRICARE beneficiaries the ability to take command of their healthcare by offering an electronic exchange between patients and their healthcare team. The many benefits include: Prescription renewal Appointment request Lab and test results Immunization record request Patient education materials Online communication with healthcare providers about non-emergency situations “It is good for getting questions out to patients,” said Capt. Jeffery Patterson, 90th Medical Group clinical nurse. “It is also good for patients to let us know how things are going with treatment following their appointment.” The Patient Portal is mandatory for clinics within the 90th MDG to use, however due to time requirements a faster mode of communication may be required. If a patient is unsure, they can always contact the clinic and ask about the proper procedures. “All clinics have access to the patient portal,” said Capt. Camyla Joule, 90th MDG physician assistant. “This alternative avenue of communication allows for a secure exchange of health information compared to using personal email.” The team at the 90th MDG works to respond to all messages within 24-buisness hours and aims to seek a resolution within 72-hours. Enrollment into the Patient Portal can be completed face-to-face, through e-registration with a common access card, or by telephone verification. During sign-up, patients will need to provide some basic information. An email will be sent during registration, and requires a response to finish enrollment. Upon email verification patients can begin messaging with their health care team. The portal can be found at https://mil.relayhealth.com.
