Base Access Information

Visitor Control Center

The Visitor Control Center (VCC) is the first point of contact for individuals who do not possess DOD credentials required for installation access. VCC personnel will verify eligibility and issue appropriate passes accordingly.

There are two options for visitor passes: walk-ins and virtual passes. For walk-ins, both the sponsor and visitor must be present at the Visitor Control Center to receive a pass. Visitors must provide their REAL-ID compliant license or ID, and if they are driving separately, proof of insurance and vehicle registration. For virtual passes, the procedures are listed in the tabs.

  • DVES (DBIDS Virtual Enrollment System)

The DBIDS Virtual Enrollment System (DVES) offers an alternative method for obtaining visitors passes without the need to visit the Visitor Control Center in person. Sponsors must submit a request up to 3 days prior to their visit and will receive the passes via email.

    1. Sponsor must complete the Visitor Pass Request Form
    2. Sponsor or guest will pre-enroll with DBIDS to obtain a unique QR code designated for the visitor (one per guest; QR code must be sent to sponsor)
    3. Have guest(s) send clear front and back photos of their identification card along with the QR code to the sponsor
    4. Sponsor will email the Visitor Pass Request Form; the QR code; photo of the visitor’s REAL ID Compliant ID to the Visitor Control Center org box 90sfs.s5.s5communications@us.af.mil
    5. Visitor Control Center will conduct background checks
    6. Passes will be created and sent to sponsor’s email

Ensure all 3 required items are attached to the email prior to submission – Visitor Pass Request Form, QR Code, and photo(s) of government issued IDs.

Visitors will present the ‘Visitor Pass’ with the REAL ID Compliant ID to the gate guard for base access.

If credential is NOT REAL ID complaint, visitor will need to be accompanied by sponsor at all times during visit.
