CHIEF MASTER SGT. CALVIN D. WILLIAMS

Chief Master Sergeant Calvin D. Williams is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. The command's mission is to provide strategic deterrence, global strike and combat support. As the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Chief Williams is responsible for advising the commander on all matters influencing the professional development, training, combat readiness, utilization, morale and mission effectiveness of assigned enlisted personnel. Additionally, he serves as the command's functional manager for assigned chiefs, group superintendents and first sergeants. Air Force Global Strike Command comprises more than 31,000 highly-disciplined professionals operating in locations around the globe. The Command's two numbered air forces and nine wings control the nation's entire inventory of Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles, B-1, B-2 and B-52 bomber aircraft.

Chief Williams has served in numerous positions at the squadron level, group-level, wing-level, numbered air forces, major command, Air Staff, and Joint Staff. His assignments include bases in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Illinois and Washington, D.C. He has also served overseas in Afghanistan and Germany. Before assuming his current position, he was the Chief, Total Force Integration, Air Force Enlisted Force Development, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
