COLONEL STEPHEN M. KRAVITSKY

Colonel Stephen M. Kravitsky is the Commander of the 90th Missile Wing, Francis E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo. He provides strategic nuclear deterrence through the operation, maintenance, security and support provided by over 4,200 military, civilian and contractor personnel operating 15 missile alert facilities and 150 Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles constantly ready to launch at the direction of the President of the United States.

Colonel Kravitsky earned his commission through the Air Force Officers' Training School in 1994. He has served as an ICBM combat crew commander, instructor, evaluator, and as a missile maintenance officer. He also served on staff at Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command and the Joint Staff. Colonel Kravitsky commanded the 12th Missile Squadron at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. Prior to his current assignment, Colonel Kravitsky was the Assistant Deputy Director for Nuclear, Homeland Defense, and Current Operations, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
