Colonel John E. Dines

Col. John E. Dines is the Commander of the 90th Mission Support Group at Francis E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo. He executes $54 million in funds and leads more than 1,365 military, civilian and contractor personnel assigned to the civil engineer, communications, contracting, force support and logistics readiness squadrons. He is responsible for the operations and maintenance of $2.9 billion in assets to include 793 base facilities, totaling 5.3 million square-feet, and 220 missile field facilities covering more than 9,000 square-miles over three states.

Colonel Dines received his commission on April 9, 1999, from Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.  He has served as a Telecommunications Systems Officer, Executive Officer, Satellite Communications Test Director, Communications Flight Commander, Senior Advisor to the Afghan National Army, Squadron Commander, Air Staff and Joint Staff Action Officer. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems, a Master’s Degree in Military Operational Arts & Science, and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies.
