Colonel CAROLYN F. AMMONS

Colonel Carolyn F. Ammons is the Commander of the 90th Mission Support Group at Francis E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming. She executes $54 million in funds and leads more than 1,365 military, civilian and contractor personnel assigned to the civil engineer, communications, contracting, force support and logistics readiness squadrons. She is responsible for the operations and maintenance of $2.9 billion in assets to include 793 base facilities, totaling 5.3 million square-feet, and 220 missile field facilities covering more than 9,000 square-miles over three states.

Colonel Ammons graduated from St Mary's High School in Annapolis, Maryland in 1993. She received her commission in 1997 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at St Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Colonel Ammons has served in various duties at the base and wing level; and in staff assignments in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, a combatant command, Headquarters Air Force and on the Secretary of the Air Force staff. She has deployed in support of operations in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and in Kuwait. She has also served as a White House Military Social Aide.
