WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- According to a memorandum from the Air Force Personnel Center the Nurse Enlisted Commissioning Program offers active-duty enlisted Airmen the opportunity to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing. Upon successful completion of both the degree, and passing the National Council Licensure Examination, Airmen in the program will be commissioned, attend Commissioned Officer Training, the Nurse Transition Program and proceed to their assignment location. Some important dates: -Suspense date for notification of intent to apply is Feb. 28 -Applicant must gain release from their career field functional by Feb. 28 -All prerequisites are non-waiverable and must be completed by March 28 -Suspense date for submission of transcripts for academic evaluation is March 28 -Suspense date for the submission of the Chief Nurse Interview is April 11 -Suspense date for submitting completed application is April 28 -The selection board is tentatively scheduled to convene at AFPC on May 13 to 15 For more information about the NECP, visit https://mypers.af.mil.
