Warren AFB, Wyo. -- The 90th Space Wing and Twentieth Air Force earned Air Force Outstanding Unit Awards for exemplary duty from Oct. 1, 2005 to Sept. 30, 2007. The Secretary of the Air Force awards the AFOUA to numbered units such as air divisions, wings, groups and squadrons for exceptional meritorious service or exceptional outstanding achievement that clearly sets the unit above and apart from similar units: Performing exceptional meritorious service of national or international significance, accomplishing specific acts of outstanding achievement of national or international significance, combat operations against an armed enemy of the United States, and military operations involving conflict with or exposure to hostile actions by an opposing foreign force. "Congratulations everyone," said Col. Mike Morgan, 90th SW commander. "This is a spectacular achievement that requires superb performance from every corner of the wing. "The Mighty Ninety has shown once again that we are the best space wing in the Air Force. "Moreover, we support the Twentieth Air Force staff," he said. "There is true magic going on here at Warren and I've not seen the likes of it in my 30 year career. Well done everyone!" The Outstanding Unit Award ribbon is worn after the Joint Meritorious Unit Award ribbon and before the Organizational Excellence Award ribbon. Additional awards of the Outstanding Unit Award are denoted by oak leaf clusters.
