F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- The following incidents resulted in nonjudicial punishment, administrative discharge, or court-martial conviction that closed out during the month of August.

Nonjudicial Punishment (Article 15)
An airman first class failed to show up to bay orderly duties. The A1C stated they forgot it was Monday and that it was not their fault because they accidentally overslept. This A1C had previously received multiple pieces of paperwork for failing to meet standards. The commander determined that the A1C violated Article 86 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and imposed the following punishment: Reduction to the grade of airman; 45 days extra duty; and a reprimand. #beontime #knowwhatdayitis
An airman first class misused their government travel card and racked up nearly $3,000 in charges over a 3 month period. The investigation also revealed that the A1C had traveled outside the local area without authorization and violated an isolation order after testing positive for COVID-19. An airman first class, who was supposed to be in designated self isolation, was seen hanging out in a club via a Snapchat story. An airman first class, who was supposed to be in DSI, was caught dining at restaurants during the time that dining in was prohibited. The proof was found on their own Snapchat story. An airman first class received an order to isolate for 14 days after testing positive for COVID-19. Upon a checking on the A1C, leadership found that the A1C was not answering their phone or dorm room door. A be on the look out for or BOLO was initiated for the A1C, who was found entering the base gate. The commander determined that the A1C violated Article 92 of the UCMJ, and imposed the following punishment: Reduction to the grade of airman; 60 days restriction to base (30 days of which suspended); and a reprimand. #dontputothersatrisk #ifyougotheRONAstayhome
A senior airman was apprehended by the Cheyenne Police Department (CPD) for driving 75 mph in a 45 mph zone, while under the influence of alcohol. The police pulled the SrA over and discovered an open can of beer in the car. CPD administered a breathalyzer which resulted in .089% BrAC. The commander determined that the SrA violated Article 113 of the UCMJ, and imposed the following punishment: Reduction to the grade of airman first class, reduction to the grade of Airman (suspended); forfeiture of $971.00 pay (suspended); and a reprimand. #recklessanddangerous #don’tdrinkanddrive

A senior airman was intoxicated and assaulted a fellow airman by grabbing the airman on their neck. After this incident, the SrA calmed down and while explaining their side, admitted to smoking marijuana. The commander determined that the SrA violated Articles 112a and 128 of the UCMJ, and imposed the following punishment: Reduction to the grade of Airman First Class; 60 days restriction to base; and a reprimand. #keepyourhandstoyourself #dontdodrugs
A staff sergeant was recorded by a home security camera after dark damaging a neighbor’s trailer. The SSgt was intoxicated and was seen on camera walking towards the trailer and forcefully pulling on the handle, causing damage to the trailer. The SSgt was able to gain access to the trailer and picked up an item from inside the trailer but put it back before leaving the scene. The commander determined that the SSgt violated Article 109 of the UCMJ and imposed the following punishment: Forfeiture of $1000.00 pay per month for 1 month (suspended); 21 days extra duty; and a reprimand. #stayoutofotherpeoplesstuff #dontdrinkandwander
Administrative Discharges
*Administrative discharges resulting from misconduct, including drug abuse, almost always result in a loss of some veteran benefits, specifically education benefits like the GI Bill.*
No misconduct based discharges were processed during August 2020.
