Lieutenant Col. David Barker took command of the 90th Healthcare Operations Squadron during a change of command ceremony June 24, 2019 on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo.

Barker previously served as the program integration branch chief at the office of the surgeon general in Falls Church, Va.

Lieutenant Col. Lindsey Oleson, outgoing 90th HOS commander, will be working at the office of the surgeon general in Falls Church, Va.

A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.

The 90th Medical Group has undergone a reorganization of its medical squadrons and Barker is the first commander of the 90th HOS.

“I am proud to take this step today in our journey together and write my name alongside yours in the first chapter of such a historic place,” said Barker.
