Logistics Readiness Squadron Mobility

Do you need gear for an upcoming deployment? Perhaps you are a defender and need your initial issue of tactical gear. Whatever the case, the 90th Logistics Readiness Squadron mobility section has what you need. They have personnel available to assist you with all equipment needs for deployments and initial gear issue.

There are several common types of gear that the section issues on a daily basis.

“Our most common customers are defenders. I issue helmets, gas masks, and protective body armor,” said Adam Jones, 90th Logistics Readiness Squadron mobility journeyman. “It can be quite a challenge to issue and track these assets when we have them assigned to so many security forces members.”

The mobility section offers other types of services, such as pressure testing the gas masks.

“We have a machine called the Joint Service Mask Leakage Tester that is a biannual requirement for individuals that have a gas mask,” said Jones. “We run a series of tests on the mask in which we check the back pressure to ensure that the mask is reliable in a chemical environment.”

The LRS mobility section maintains and stores equipment to be issued to teams deploying in times of war.

“We maintain stock authorization levels on hand to ensure that teams are readily equipped when they deploy to hostile environments,” said Capt. Evan Hanson, 90th Logistics Readiness Squadron materiel management flight commander. “In addition to providing Base personnel support, we receive re-distribution orders and we ship excess materials to bases that might be short or in need of that material.”

Whether you are a new Airman or someone deploying down range, the F.E. Warren LRS mobility section is ready to help you. For more information on how they can help you, call (307) 773-2787.
