At the 90th Contracting Squadron, three members have decided to teach on their off time.
Master Sergeant Anthony Aparicio, Diana Scheer and Angela Muzquiz have all taken on the task of being teachers.

Sergeant Aparicio has been teaching at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University since 2005. He previously taught for Embry Riddle at Minot Air Force Base, N.D., before he moved to Warren, where he has continued teaching.

"After pursuing my own education for many years, it feels good to give back and pass on the knowledge to our future leaders," the sergeant said.

Sergeant Aparicio said he is a strong advocate for pursuing education through the use of the internet. Online education typically accommodates just about anyone's schedule.

If it wasn't for online education, he continued, he probably would not have been able to achieve his degrees with his prior busy flight schedule

Ms. Scheer has been teaching at Colorado Christian University for three years. She achieved her undergraduate and graduate degree there as well. She currently is
teaching research and English classes.

Ms. Muzquiz recently has been approved to teach business at Colorado Christian University.

"I am excited to teach at Colorado Christian University," Ms. Muzquiz said. "I was a student there and really loved the environment".

She currently has a bachelor's degree in organizational management and a master's degree in business administration.

The opportunities are out there to pursue and advance one's education if they choose to, she said.

Who knows, after achieving a degree, one might just go back and take the places of those who helped them receive their education.

The 90th CONS has three members that did.
