Outdoor Recreation

Outdoor Recreation provides rental equipment, discounted ski tickets and base fishing permits, paintball, and the Outdoor Adventure Program.

Equipment rentals include hundreds of items for your use from fishing boats, canoes, campers, super cookers, tents, fishing rods, mountain bikes, metal detectors to high performance snow skis, snowboards, snowblades and two new jump houses
The Outdoor Adventure Program encompasses an array of thrilling activities throughout the year. OAP will take you on breathtaking hikes and camping excursions, pulse-pounding white-water rafting, or a scenic canoe floats; you'll enjoy lazy fishing trips, mountain bike adventures. Winter trips will find you on the finest ski resorts in the country, whether you are a beginner or expert, skier or rider, nothing beats wearing yourself out on the slopes and leaving the driving to the professional OAP staff.

Child Development Center

F.E. Warren Air Force Base's Child Development Programs offer quality, affordable and conveniently located care.

The CDC is a nationally accredited program by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Their goal is to provide closely supervised play and developmentally appropriate activities for young children. Programs are available for the convenience of parents who need to be away from their children for short or long periods of time during the day. Care is available weekdays on both a full-time and hourly basis.

Located at 5000 Ft. Russell Way, the CDC provides care for children 6 weeks through 5 years old, Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Youth center

Youth Programs, located at the Youth Center, 1755 Piute Drive, includes an accredited Before and After School and Summer Day Camp for ages 5 to 12, an Open Recreation Program for ages 9 to 12 and 13 to 18 on weekdays, and a diverse Sports Program.

The Before and After School and Summer Day Camp Programs offer a variety of social and instructional activities in a state-of-the-art center. As a National Afterschool Association accredited program, they place the highest priority on each child's health, safety, social development and academic support in their School Age Program. Children have the opportunity to work with computers, do homework, and participate in organized activities. Youth are offered a chance to explore new places and ideas, develop new skills, build friendships and have fun!

Youth Programs strive to offer the best in leisure time activities for family members. Parent participation is always welcome and encouraged.

Family child care

Family child care, located in Bldg. 266, offers an excellent alternative of child care for parents who would like their children cared for in a home setting. Care is provided in military housing as well as off-base.

Caregivers who are licensed by the 90th Mission Support Group commander must meet strict Air Force requirements through a five-day orientation training class prior to licensing. Training includes CPR and First-Aid certification, complete 15 Air Force standardized training modules, 24 hours of annual training and the passing of a comprehensive background check which includes family members. FCC providers complete a monthly 17-page self assessment that ensures the safety, health and well-being of children as well as receive monthly unannounced visits from the FCC Manager.

Providers offer daily activities that promote social, self, creative, physical and cognitive development. Your children will receive individualized attention in a small group setting that is warm, caring, nurturing and educational. Referral lists for in-home providers may be obtained from a variety of agencies on base such as FCC and the CDC.

FCC also offers Extended Duty Care, Missile Duty Care, Return Home Care, Air Force Aid PCS Care, Volunteer Care and serves as back-up for the Air Force Aid Program "Give Parents a Break."
