Major Nelson Mitchell took command of the 90th Comptroller Squadron during a change of command ceremony June 21, 2019 on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo.

Mitchell previously served as the commander of the 17th CPTS at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas.

Maj. Andrew Wilkins, outgoing 90th CPTS commander, will be the 60th CPTS commander at Travis Air Force Base, Calif.

A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.

Mitchell noted that his previous experience as a squadron commander will help him understand the expectations of the job.

“I’m excited to take the lessons that I’ve learned at my last base and apply those here in hopes of continuing to improve as a commander,” Mitchell said.
