F.E. Warren hosts Local Law Enforcement Liaison Event

  • Published

The F.E. Warren Office of Special Investigations Detachment 805 and the 90th Security Forces Group hosted local law enforcement individuals on 15 Aug. 2017, to participate in tours of the base Weapons Storage Area and a Missile Alert Facility. The tour was held to build camaraderie between the different agencies and to let them see a small snapshot of the mission here.

“The safety and security of the Airman and assets here on F.E. Warren rely heavily on our partnerships with our local law enforcement community,” said Special Agent Jillian Gava, AFOSI Detachment 805, commander. “That is a major reason why we teamed up with the defenders to give a better understanding of what we do here at Warren.”

The tour also allowed the participants to interact with Airmen and ask questions.

“I enjoyed answering the questions and building camaraderie with the law enforcement individuals,” said Airman 1st Class Benjamin Alfred, 790th Missile Security Forces Squadron, convoy response force leader. “They asked questions ranging from weapons to our vehicle capabilities.”

Several different law enforcement agencies, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Kimball, Nebraska police department attended the liaison event.

“The tour was a success and attendees expressed how amazed they were by the work the 90th Missile Wing does and what our young Airman get to be a part of every day,” said Gava. “We hope we can do more events like this in the future.”
