Maj. Kevin Shannon took command of the 90th Munitions Squadron during a change of command ceremony May 13, 2021, on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming.

Shannon previously served as the Operations Officer for the 28th Maintenance Squadron at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota.

Maj. Claus Fasting, outgoing 90 MUNS commander, will continue to serve at F.E. Warren AFB as commander for the 90th Missile Maintenance Squadron.

A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.

Fasting was awarded the meritorious service medal for his accomplishments while in command at the 90 MUNS.
