Lieutenant Col. David Celeste took command of the 90th Missile Security Forces Squadron during a change of command ceremony June 26, 2019, on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo.

Celeste previously served as the Branch Chief of Police Services and Law and Order Policy, Directorate of Security Forces at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

Lieutenant Col. Anthony McCarty, outgoing 90th MSFS commander, will go to Washington, D.C. to attend the National War College.

A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.

Celeste noted that the squadron has a remarkable reputation and he was honored to take up the reins of “Big Missiles.”

“As your new squadron commander, I only want to sad that your reputation proceeds you and it will be an honor to serve you and my duty to ensure that together, we live up to our leader’s and nation’s high expectations,” said Celeste. “I promise to fight like hell to give you the support, training, dedication and leadership needed to ensure we succeed in our mission.”
