Every year in May the F.E. Warren Spouses’ Club hosts a banquet to showcase those who have been awarded WSC scholarships.

All active duty, guard, reservists, spouses and dependents who reside in Laramie County, Wyoming can apply for the WSC scholarship. For more information on how to apply, visit https://warrenspousesclub.org/.

“The money we use for the scholarships comes from various fundraisers that we do throughout the year,” said Abigail Bautista, WSC president. “One of our biggest events that contribute to the scholarships is the Boots and Baubles Auction.”

The 2017 Boots and Baubles Auction and other fundraisers helped to raise $24,500 to be awarded to scholarship applicants on May 15, 2018.

“Scholarships like these encourage people to pursue education,” said Tifara Pietersma, WSC scholarship chair. “College is very costly, and scholarships are a great way to help negate some of that cost.”

Scholarships are a great way to help pay for college, all there is to do is apply.

“These scholarships are really what the Warren Spouses Club was built on,” said Rebekah Thomashunis, WSC auction chair. “It started out as us just trying to help our spouses and dependents reach their dreams. These scholarships help to relieve some of the financial stress that comes with college and life in general.”

The WSC hosts many fundraisers and charitable events every year to support F.E. Warren and the surrounding community in many ways. The Scholarships are just one of the benefits. To get involved check out the WSC website and their Facebook page.
