The success and improvements on F.E. Warren Air Force Base come in part from motivation, positive attitudes and teamwork, Kravitsky said. To ensure future success, it is important to remember and apply these attributes to everything we do.
Kravitsky discussed positive trends in wing culture and emphasized what we need to do to continue moving in a positive direction.
· We need to ensure we remain laser-focused on safe, secure and effective operating procedures.
· Mission accomplishment is a team effort.
· Risk mitigation must be applied beyond operations to all wing units.
Kravitsky challenged Airmen to find motivation, share it and remember that asking for help is not a sign of weakness.
At the end of the call a safety representative briefed a few holiday and winter safety tips.
· Ensure fire extinguishers are near and smoke alarms are operational.
· Be sure holiday trees do not block exits and are away from heat sources.
· Ensure you have an emergency kit in your POV.
· Be on alert and practice good risk management when it comes to winter driving.
· Let someone know where you will be traveling or hiking in case of an emergency.
Kravitsky stressed the importance of using this holiday break to decompress. He asked Airmen to look out for each other to ensure no one celebrates Thanksgiving alone.
The wing commander concluded his remarks by expressing his gratitude for the Airmen who will be on duty executing the nuclear deterrence mission throughout the holiday weekend.
