Transportation

Base Transportation:
Currently, there is no public transportation on F. E. Warren.  With no public transportation on base, you’ll need a vehicle to get around the base and local area.  The Airman and Family Readiness Center offers information and assistance when preparing for a vehicle purchase.  Also, some financial institutions have car buying programs for military members.  Contact the AFRC to discuss car buying options PRIOR to signing documents for a car purchase, 773-5941 or DSN:  481-5941

Vehicle Registration
For the city of Cheyenne, Wyo., vehicle registration is handled by the county treasurer's office. To register your vehicle, bring a properly signed title, a bill of sale, proof of insurance, a current registration certification, and a completed VIN inspection to the treasurer's office. A VIN inspection is required for vehicles purchased out of state and can be completed at the local police station.

For military members, a signed affidavit of non-residence and Military Service Exemption Form may be completed to waive some of the vehicle registration fees. Once signed by a commanding officer, bring the form, a current end of the month leave and earnings statement, military ID, driver's license and a current copy of orders to the County Treasurer's Office.
